Music Together® Questions and Answers

How many semesters do you offer per year? How many classes in a session?
Our Music Together® program runs year-round. Our 10-week semesters are in the Fall, Winter and Spring. We offer 6 or 8-week semesters in the Summer. There are 9 core and 3 summer Music Together® collections in all, so your family can attend 3 straight years of Music Together® without repeating a collection!

How long are the classes?
Our classes are 45 minutes each.

Do you do the same songs every week?
No, each week we do about 12 songs from the current collection (there are 25-30 songs in each collection). Typically, we do the same songs for three weeks, and then introduce 3 or 4 new songs per week until we have covered the whole session's collection. We frequently do many songs more than once during the semester; however, we may vary the presentation of the song each time (one week a fingerplay, the next large movement, etc). Occasionally we will do songs from outside the collection or family requests. We welcome your music CD's for the free dance or fam jam, as well as any family favorites you'd like to share with the class!
